Principle : Jodie Wellings

Hi everyone, I'm jodie and I am the principle of Inspire Dance Company. I opened inspire in 2018 after finishing my degree at Liverpool John Moore's university where I studied Dance practices. After many years of teaching at my childhood dance school I started summer classes of my own while at university and these grew into what is now Inspire Dance Company.

I have a passion for sharing my love of dance and inspiring others to find their own love for dance through an enjoyable, friendly and assessable environment for everyone. I started dance at the age of 4 and dance exams were a huge part of my early childhood. Once i got to secondary school I moved to a local dance school where i did all styles of dance including Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Musical theatre and Commercial dance. This is also where I found my love for performance and teaching and i continued here until I left for university at the age of 18. I studied dance and drama through my education and in 2018 graduated from Liverpool John Moore's University with a first class degree in Dance practices and in 2019 Graduated from Wolverhampton University with a PGCE in Secondary Dance. As well as running Inspire I am currently a secondary school dance teacher and continue to share my knowledge to the younger generation.

I hope that the students who attend Inspire can see the love and passion I have for my art form as well as the support and care I give to my inspire family and love being a part of that as much as i do.
